Sole2Soul’s Strength and Wellbeing course provides a welcoming and fun environment that will help to improve your fitness, strength and emotional wellbeing. Each class will be different, involving a mix of body weight exercises, functional weight training, boxing, circuits and core strength. You will be taught the correct technique and given time to practice new exercises before working more independently. You will be given 1:1 input and guidance when needed during the class. Various items of equipment will be provided, including dumbbells, discs, kettlebells, boxing gloves and mitts, training ladders, medicine balls, battle ropes and slam balls. This mixture of equipment provides variety to your workouts and ensures you have plenty of fun in each class!
The classes will be suitable for a mix of fitness levels, but a basic level of fitness would be helpful - although it will improve over the course!! There will be options for beginners, intermediate and advance levels in all the classes.
At the end of each class there will be time set aside for stretching and mindfulness - taking a few moments to be still and to focus on our mental wellbeing. This mindful finish will incorporate some teachings on the fundamental approaches in mindfulness, followed by a short guided meditation, ensuring that you leave the class feeling positive and focused.
Through our work and own experience, we have seen how exercise and mindfulness can change people’s lives and improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing. There is nothing more important than our health, and combining exercise and mindfulness is one of the most simple, yet powerful ways to take care of ourselves.
